Hello!

When my children were young, cooking was always our form of craft.

I’d rather give them a big hunk of cookie dough to roll and cut and shape and mould than play doh (at least if they ate it they’d be fine) and instead of glitter and glue and a thousand bits of cardboard all over the bench, my children would sit for ages decorating a few cupcakes each.

At the time, the best thing was that we then have snacks to share with friends when we met at the park.  And they would so proudly save one for when Dad came home … he would very patiently crunch through bright green icing with a thousand silver cachous and a rainbow of sprinkles.

And now that they are older, at least two of them are still keen on cooking.  Which I love because I can delegate dinner every now and then or if we’re going to be out, I know they’ll be able to fend for themselves.

Needless to say, I was always on the hunt for recipes for cookies kids can cook.  Not too hard and relatively quick from beginning to end so they didn’t lose interest.

If you’re keen for your kids to get involved in the kitchen, this Collection of Cool Cookies Kids Can Cook will get you going!

We’ve selected some of our favourite cookies that have been created by MoM Members and the MoM CookClub team … and we think they are all a great place for kids to get started in the kitchen.
