Fed up parents and grandparents claim their kids are losing out to money hungry shoppers who are cashing in on the popular Coles Little Shop campaign once again.

Only a mere four days since the campaign launched on Friday 7th December, Coles supermarkets have already sold out of the cases.

One grandmother recently posted in a Facebook group where shoppers swap and sell collectables: “You should be ashamed of yourselves. All I wanted was one folder for my granddaughter… what in the hell is going on?”.

“Now I see selfish money-hungry people selling them for $40. Wise up you stupid people.”

Another mother said she went to three different supermarkets on the morning of the launch and still couldn’t pick up a case.

“I’m over it,” she wrote in Coles Little Shop Facebook group.

“Wrecking kids fun. Go get real jobs people, I bet you sell baby formula too.”

A Coles spokesperson told Yahoo News that they had limited case sales to three per customer, as many of their shoppers are families with several children.

Much like the first release, those cases are now selling on eBay for upwards of $40, leaving those who went home empty handed outraged over the “pathetic” distribution measures put in place by the supermarket.

Have you been lucky enough to score the full set yet?

  • Obviously a very poorly thought out marketing initiative.

  • My grandchildren never got into this I’m glad to say. The case should have been available with the first collectible.

    • They should also have made sure that they could back order if necessary for all the people who missed out.

  • When I complained about this they sent me a list of their terms and conditions about it saying it was for a limited time until sold out. Yer thanks a lot Coles.

  • My local Coles said they only got a handful of folders. How did they not learn from last time?

  • I’m lucky my kids missed the first promotion and are not fussed with this one.

  • oh my goodness, some people are so greedy!!

  • It disgusts me that people always have to ruin promotional fun for kids by being greedy and making everything about profiteering. Do people not have morals? And Coles should be better equipped for the supply to demand. Aren’t there regulations around the supply to expectation when it comes to advertising specials etc? ????????‍♀️ I dunno. But I have way more important things to worry about.
I have avoided Coles and stuck to Woolworths as I don’t beef another reason for my kids to cry at the checkout lol.

  • I think the whole thing is a scam by Coles designed to stir up hype honestly. Were there ever any cases or just a fake news story that they were sold out?

  • I’ve only shopped once since they were released and have 3 of the items. There was no sign of the cases anywhere that I could see. People need to get real and stop being so greedy. This is mayhem and frenzy unlike I’ve seen before.

  • Sorry I have little understanding for costumers like this. Coles offers a promotion / gift for money spent in their shop and costumers go around angry and demanding ?! Great example to our kids, but not :(

  • They should have made the cases part of the project collection process.

  • I have the whole set but don’t have a case to put them in. It’s really unfair as my daughter was so very excited to collect them and now is upset.

  • People can be so greedy and selfish with things like this. Some people just don’t care about others at all, only their own financial gains

  • There’s no way coles can predict how many they will need. I’m quite sure people who don’t normally shop at Coles would do so during this promotional period. I agree it sux that people are buying them just to make epic profits but you cannot hold coles accountable for it! I went shopping on the first day and was asked if I was after a case as they were limited. It didn’t even occur to me to buy one to sell on. I have no interest in the cases so I didn’t buy one
