At some schools children have “brain food” fruit or vegetables that they are allowed to eat in class.
Vegetables are usually carrot sticks or celery sticks. They reckon if the kids get hungry they don’t concentrate on their lessons.
Take into consideration the weather when packing your child’s lunch box. At many schools their lunchbox stays in their school bags in cubby holes outside the classroom door (in the shade). Make sure the container the lunch box is in is insulated. In hot weather make sure you put cooler bricks or other packs in them. Make sure they take at least on bottle of cold water. They should be allowed to have one in the classroom with them to prevent dehydration.
