Epilepsy Australia have kindly issued a warning for any photo sensitive people planning to watch Incredibles 2!

They have alerted people to the fact that the movie contains a sequence of flashing lights which may affect individuals who are susceptible to photo sensitivity epilepsy or other sensitivies.

People have sincerely thanked the assoc for letting them know. Some sharing their disappointment that they will now have to miss out on viewing the film.

– “Thank you … wish warnings like this were compulsorily posted on movie posters and advertising for all movies…. just like an allergy warning on a food item.”

– “My 20 year old daughter who is photosensitive went to see it last night I warned her spent most of the movie with her head down and eyes closed and had some myclonic seizures”

– “I wish these types of movies would take people who have epilepsy into consideration”

  • I agree that that there should be warnings for things like this.

  • It should have come with a warning. :-(

  • This is bad, you would think it would be compulsory in this day and age to have the movie flagged for anyone with epilepsy.

  • It is strange that they do not have a warning about this for adults as well. An adult may take their child thinking all is well, have a seizure and who is there for the child. Thinking caps needed when rating these movies.

  • A good warning, important also for my ASD child who has hypersensitivity. I will be warning him and it may affect him seeing it or not.

  • I totally agree. We watched it and had no idea it would have flashing lights. My young grandson didn’t like it at all and hide his eyes it upset him so much.

  • I agree, it should be on the posters etc as a warning, just as food allergens are.

  • Good to put the warning out there and alert the public.

    • There should be more warnings to inform the public.

  • I am not epileptic but I am a migraine sufferer, flashing lights also sets them off

  • its a shame that this movie has those flashing lights which will stop some people seeing it – I think that is really unfair of them to not realise lots of kids will want to see this movie and now cannot – they will be so disappointed.

  • I am sure I have heard of this before with some other movie as well.
Any how I feel movies like this should carry a warning.
Thanks go to Epilepsy Australia for the heads up though.
