The Spice Girls have confirmed that they’re reuniting for a six-date UK tour next summer, following months of relentless speculation

Sadly they won’t be joined by their bandmate Victoria Beckham.

Mel B, 43; Emma Bunton, 42; Geri Horner, 46, and Mel C, 44, took to their official Twitter and Facebook accounts to announce the highly anticipated roadshow, which is set to kick off in Manchester on June 1.

And while Victoria won’t be a part of the lineup hitting the road in a tour she still took time out to release a statement on the exciting announcement.

‘Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour,’ said the mother-of-four. ‘I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!’

In a statement, the stars have said:

‘We are beyond excited to be reuniting next year for a stadium tour! Bringing girl power and our message of friendship and love back to the stage feels more relevant than ever. We hope everyone can join us for one big Spice Girls party!’

Who would love to see them hit Australia?

  • Lots of groups reunite for tours – good luck to them. Not a tour that interests me – but fun for those that love the Spice Girls.

  • No, not excited about women still wanting to be girls, leave it to the next generation, are they wanting to pay for their retirement?

  • No, I don’t think I have the desire to see them when they hit our country.

  • It would be great if they come to Australia at a later date as well!

  • Victoria has probably decided to put her family first. Who is going to mind 4 children while she travels for tours which will probably be either continuous or close together.

  • Such a shame the tour was not more broad. And terrible that Victoria couldn’t make an appearance to reflect on her roots and appease the original fans. Maybe even bust out a LBD.

  • Too bad Victoria didn’t join them.

  • It’s about time! There have been non stop rumours about them getting back together fir months and months. Hopefully the U.K. dates are successful and they might consider some more dates across the globe. They sure are looking good!

  • It’s sad they didn’t all reunite. I was a teenager in the spice Girls era but I don’t think I’d go to a stadium concert.
