Nike has announced that its new collection of sports bras will go up to a size 44G!

Finding a sports bra you like can be tricky. You’re often forced to compromise on some aspect whether that’s shape, colour or level of support, and many women are unable to buy a sports bra at all due to a lack of availability when it comes to sizing. Thankfully, sports clothing giant Nike seems determined to address the problem announcing that its new sports bras will go up to a size 44G!

Something For Every Body

Popsugar reports that at a press event in Paris for the launch of its new sports bra, Nike addressed the need to expand its range to be more inclusive. “The goal of the Nike FE/NOM Flyknit Bra was maximum support and comfort that would allow women to feel and look amazing while doing anything they choose,” Design Director of Bras and Innovation Nicole Rendone said. “We prioritised support, breathability and cooling in essential zones.” It is hoped that the new designs will provide women with a more tailored fit and effective support without the need for wires or excessive padding. Many brands are still using the S, M, L size guide which simply doesn’t cut it when it comes to providing options for every woman so it’s refreshing to see a brand as large as Nike taking a stand against a ‘one size fits all’ mentality.

The new range of sizes will be available from the middle of this year, and the range won’t just be a limited selection with customers given 57 styles to choose from. For many women, being able to buy a sports bra that actually fits and gives them support could be all it takes to give them the confidence to exercise, so we are so excited for this launch – hopefully other brands follow suit!!
