Do you still have a few items to go before you have a complete set? Well this info is for you!

Coles will be holding a “swap day” this Saturday between 10am-2pm to help parents complete their set of 30 miniature products.

“Little Shop swaps are a lot of fun and are already bringing mini communities together,” a Coles spokesman said.

“It’s appealing to all ages and we’re delighted to hear stories of friends, families, neighbours and workmates all getting together to swap, share and collect their minis.

“We know there are swap groups forming all over the country from Port Augusta in South Australia to Mackay in Queensland all the way to Ellenbrook in Western Australia.

In addition, we are holding an official Swap Day in 37 supermarkets across the country on Saturday 11 August.”

  • I found some of these in the spare room when I was cleaning it out this weekend. Im probably sitting on a gold mine.

  • I never did finish a set. But I did help my daughter out with hers, I think she completed 3-4 sets. She sold one for $150, not sure what her plans are for the others. She also helped people collect by swapping her extras. She had fun

  • I heard that spent hundreds of dollars in one shopping spree when this promotion started. They either had plenty of surplus money, have a large family, shopped as a group or have huge credit card debt. Even then they may not succeed in getting all of them. I have seen some things such as the trolleys or little shopping bags advertised for large sums of money.

  • I don’t have any participating Coles close-by. And anyway, so far I’ve just got one double. The Vanish. :-)

  • I haven’t been able to reach the minimum spend to obtain any. We grow a lot of items at home, so don’t have a large bill. I have seen people selling them on Facebook from $8-$15. It’s a little crazy.

  • Great for those collecting them – but we’re not interested, we have enough clutter without adding more! Lol!

  • Unfortunately, we have a long way to go…! We are onto our 3rd Little Shop collectables item.
We don’t have much money as it is so it is important for us to spend wisely on things.

I might sound like a party pooper… but, I think having to spend $30 on grocery to get one collectable is not worth it as a consumer, but good for Coles who is trying to reap as much money out of the consumer as possible.

For a consumer to get the whole collection, means we will have to spend at least $900 on grocery! It’s a large amount if you look at it that way. It’s great that some people have their families and friends in it together to help them get these items faster. But, how long will this hype last before we go onto something new?

  • I just did my normal shopping, plus I did join groups on facebook for swapping them. My son now has the full set plus some extras. it’s good for his little shop and his imagination. I also found out that Autism SA would love any spares that you don’t want anymore for their speech and OT therapy.

  • Gah. I’m not driving 40km for that!

  • Given up in these.. the soft plastic/cardboard ones are filled with polystyrene which caused it to ‘snow’ in our lounge before I realised. We will keep the hard plastic editions but the others are going by the wayside. Great fun but not kiddy friendly and and not obsessed enough to bother with a swap day…

  • Should be at more Coles stores as the ones given are not really good locations. Might have to be happy with a not complete set. My lot do not care, it is me who wants the complete set.

  • Not collecting them unfortunately

  • Great for those who are collecting them!

  • No, I won’t be rushing to get a complete set. My kids love it, but are happy with what they have and don’t even talk about the complete set, so no need.
