Home and Away Star Sadly Loses Cancer Battle

Hello!

Much loved soap star Cornelia Frances tragically passed away on Monday evening after a long battle with cancer.

Cornelia played, Sister Scott in The Young Doctors, Barbara Hamilton on Sons and Daughters and Morag Bellingham in Home and Away for 29 years.

The 77-year-old leaves behind her son Lawrence Eastland and her dearly loved 17-year-old granddaughter Tipani.

Her characters always scared me, but usually had big hearts under the gruff exterior. Not sure I like the pics of her dying in her hospital bed. I wonder what Cornelia thought if these?

She was a brilliant actress who could play many roles. From sweet and helpful to uncaring and just mean. She was also a woman who cared about a lot of things deeply. RIP Cornelia.

I have watched Cornelia Frances in every show she’s been in, going back to The Young Doctors. She was so familiar to me. I’m so sad to hear of her passing. She is now free of pain and in peace. Love to her family.
