If only I realised this ten years ago? Am I the only clueless mum who had no idea?

The Natural Parent Magazine shared this clever tip on Facebook captioned,

“Parenting hack! Did you know this? Great for those monumental nappy blowouts…”

Mum’s have shared their surprise at not realising this clever little trick themselves:

– “How did I never know this?- If you girls did and have been holding out on me!- ”

– “This is a good one to know. Saves washing poo out of little ones hair lol”

– “Whhhhatttt?? 3 kids later and I just find this out now!”

– “This is a handy tip! I didn’t know about this till recently haha. Handy to avoid getting a nasty mess on the childs face! haha”

– “Omg I didn’t know this! Instead of struggling to pull it over their heads and getting their arms in!!!”

  • I had no idea until I had baby #3

  • Never really needed this. Cool to know though.

  • Who knew? I had no idea. What a lifesaver and game changer this could have been!!

  • I’ve never heard that before, but I actually never liked those type of shoulders on my babies clothes. My babies were all a bit narrow in the shoulders and would manage to either partly wriggle out of their clothes while sleeping or have a shoulder out when playing. I preferred ones that had pop clips at the neck instead.

  • I always bought onesies that had a flap at the bottom and they always used to have press studs on the shoulders in case it wasn’t safe to pull it over their head.

  • I knew about this and it’s come in handy a couple times! Maybe it should be taught in anti natal classes haha

    • Lol! Maybe it should be a part of the program! :)

  • I’m still not sure I get it! I remember some clothing with these sleeves but there was always a flap at the bottom for changing a nappy, wasn’t there? You just didn’t need to pull it over their heads to deal with the mess … and when did it ever get THAT messy anyway – nappies yes but not on the onesie? (ohhhh no, I must be getting old and forgetting the horror of it all!!!)

  • I knew this but I don’t always do it as sometimes they are Abit tight on the shoulders for me to do this for my son

  • I thought nearly everyone knew this. Save washing and is so handy for changing baby.

  • Wow well you learn something everyday…

  • Yes, very handy for when you have poo stained clothing and you don’t want to have it in hair and face. But for all other moments I used to do it over the head, as it stretches the neck from the onesie really out and misshapes it.

  • I always thought this was common knowledge. It’s such a genius thing all Mums should know
