It is certainly a minefield and one that I don’t love. I feel like I’m always playing catch up. My son is 15, and he’s just more aware and better on social media than me. Better at finding new forms of social media, knowing how to use them, what to do, etc. I think we have a fairly good relationship when it comes to social media, but as parents, we’re tougher than most. We do set ground rules and often battle with our son about what he’s not allowed to have or do compared to his friends. This is the hardest part of parenting. Fighting what other parents allow or do not know about. It’s a constant battle, and a constant dialogue.
