During an appearance on The Tonight Show, actress Jessica Alba, 36, opened up about expecting her third child with husband Cash Warren.

“I have amnesia about having a baby, which is why I think I allowed this to happen,” the star joked.

She added: “I don’t remember any of it!”

Jessica says she doesn’t remember any of the diapers, strollers, sleepless nights.

Lucky she will have two little helpers with big sisters Honor, 9, and Haven, 5, excited to have a baby sibling.

“[They’re] stoked,” said the mum of two.

Do you clearly remember those early days with a new baby?

  • Like another said – children very quickly move onto the next fase in their growth and development and we are constantly adapting to that to take care of their new needs, so I guess it’s easy to forget some parts of the very early days. I mean, you will always remember, but it’s not like I remember day by day the experiences I had; I guess that’s just nature because otherwise without this brilliant amnesia of sorts (particularly how we easily forget the incredible agony of birth for some as soon as it’s over), then many women wouldn’t keep going back.

  • I haven’t completely forgotten, but when they’re growing up, it’s onto a new phase so soon that it’s easy to focus on the present rather than the past.

  • Plenty of memories despite the years going so fast. On a side note, isn’t Jessica gorgeous!

  • I think it’s easy to remember certain occasions, but the daily grind is easily forgotten in the business of change.

  • Its foggy. And I look at him now and can’t believe he was ever a baby. But the memories of middle of the night feeds and spew and pumpkin soup poo and smiles and my lil baldy are definitely there.
