A little boy who wrote a letter to his dad in heaven has received a heartwarming response.
Seven-year-old Jase, from Scotland, sadly lost his dad four years ago. He wrote the letter for his dad’s birthday.
The letter, which was posted to his mum Teri’s Facebook page reads: “Mr postman, can you take this to heaven for my dad’s birthday, Thanks.”
Several weeks later, Jase received a touching response from the Royal Mail, shares Yahoo news.
“This was a difficult challenge avoiding stars and other galactic objects on route to heaven,” the letter said.
“However please be assured that this particular important item of mail has been delivered.
“I know how important your mail is to you. I will continue to do all I can to ensure delivery to heaven safely.”
A photo of Jase’s original envelope and the Royal Mail’s response went viral in a matter of hours, with 187,000 shares and 36,000 comments.
Teri shared, ” I actually cannot state how emotional he is knowing his dad got his card… you didn’t have to make the effort to do this you could have just ignored it but the fact that you have made the effort for a little boy you’ve never met is such a lovely thing to do Royal Mail you’ve just restored my faith in humanity and thank you, it honestly means the world to him.”
Such an amazing thing to do for a little boy. Well done, Royal Mail!
