Hello!

Looking for an unusual place to get married? Well, now you’ve got a chance-of-a-lifetime to tie the knot at McDonalds.

The popular fast food joint is offering one lucky Aussie couple the chance to seal the deal under the golden arches in September.

Four couples have got married at McDonalds worldwide, making an Australian its fifth. The couple in the image above are Steven and Emily Asher of Bristol who paid £150 for their Macca’s fast food feast in 2013.

The loved-up couple and an intimate group of 25 invited guests will have their wedding at the newly refurbished McDonalds in Warilla, NSW.

The restaurant will be transformed for the reception and a three-course meal is included in the prize.

The couple will need to be true Macca’s devotees as the main course will dish out the restaurant chain’s gourmet burgers and in conventional wedding catering style, guests will get to choose between chicken or beef.

All-Inclusive

The event will also include flowers, decorations, cars, outfits, rings and a McDonald’s-inspired wedding cake.

We reckon there will not be a shortage of couples jostling for the opportunity. One couple recently ordered 300 cheeseburgers to be delivered to their reception to end off a night of partying, as reported by the
Daily Mail.

The burgers were spread out over eight platters and were received with rapturous cheers and applause from those attending the wedding, who proceeded to toss them in the air and pose with them for photographs.

  • Oh heck why not? Im sure there are couples that would have loved this especially if they felt McD’s meant something to them. I met my husband when I was 16 and one day i mentioned McD’s to him and he had never been to a McD’s so we decided to go and he was mind blown.

  • Personally I wouldn’t like to celebrate my wedding at Macca’s, but each to their own. Success to all who compete for this !
