Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reportedly Plan to Raise Baby With “Fluid Approach to Gender”

It hasn’t yet been officially confirmed whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting a baby boy or a baby girl, but if Meghan Markle has her way, her newborn’s gender won’t matter at all.

According to Vanity Fair, the mom-to-be and Prince Harry are reportedly planning to raise their child free of traditional gender norms.

“Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby,” a source told Vanity Fair.

“Her exact word is ‘fluid.’ She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes.”

Exactly what she means by the word “fluid” is unclear as the label itself has many interpretations, but it’s also been reported that the Sussexes have planned a gender-neutral nursery in which they’ve opted for white and grey tones over conventional pink and blue accents.

  • I wonder who the source. Some media will report anything, some without verifying whether the information is correct or not. Somebody may find themselves in a lo of strife for printing what the source alledgedly “quoted”

  • Hmmm “fluid” I’m sure that the Queen won’t be too impressed by that choice surely – being a traditionalist!

Will look forward to watching just exactly what raising a fluid gender baby is like!

  • Colour of clothes and nurseries really does not matter – choose whatever works well.

  • Sounds very made up to me but I’m not worried about what colour they paint their nursery anyway.

    • I agree – it is not the sort of news that interests me.

  • We were never having our kids wearing much pink and blue. We had cream, yellow and green tones for the rooms.

  • same bedroom tones for my two boys, I want them to decide later in life for themselves but for now they are definite little boys, rough and tumble with baby dolls and kitchens as well
