Hello!

Hi everyone, I’ve just got results for blood tests. They suggest low thyroid. I am getting re-tested in 6 weeks, but really want to try and fix these levels so I don’t end up on lifelong medications. What foods do people recommend, and what is bad. I have been reading online articles, but some have quite conflicting suggestions. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. Please help xo

  • I find high iodine food helps. Seaweed is very high in this. I eat a lot of sushi as the outer layer is seaweed. Also Miso soup with seaweed shards is very good for you and tasty. Hope this helps

  • unfortunately there are not alot of options that actually work. there are a few natural products that claim to support your thyroid and they could be worth giving a go. otherwise start on a vitamin d supplement and you need to increase your intake of iodine (iodised salts or even a supplement might help) look into iodine as I believe there has been a study recently done on the impacts of increasing iodine and thyroid function. goodluck from a thyroid suffer
