Hello!

Hi I need to get a gift for an 18th boy. It needs to be something they can keep like cufflinks (already been given) Any ideas welcome.

  • A nice watch maybe engraved on the back

  • A nice beer glass they can display or use? It’s tricky as at 18 they may not want the things they’ll like in a few years

  • A really nice pen. A fancy journal. A photo frame.

  • How about a bottle of wine from the year he was born?

  • If you want a keepsake, I would be visiting a jewellery store for ideas on watches, chains with a charm, rings or a men’s bracelet that you can have engraved with his name or initials.

  • When my nephew turned 18 I bought him a very nice pocket watch with compass. And inside I let ingrave one message. He loved it!

  • My brother just turned 18 and got a new watch, dvd series and gift cards to go buy some clothes

  • I go with what they like. My son was a huge Simpsons fan so he got a 6 pack of Duff beer. My daughter loved looking at family photos, so I put a photo album together for her. For my 50th, my mum has made a scrapbook of family history, which is exactly what I’m into

  • I tend to buy gift cards….not very inspiring but useful. You could look at buying him an experience…like a fast lap or a bungee jump? My friend’s nephew just turned 18 and they gave him a $100 but give it to him as a full $100 note, not 2 x $50 or any other combo.

  • I recently gave a 17 year old a gift pack of brand name hair care products and he was very pleased.
