Hello!

  • I’ve done a wee plant in a pot for many years and think it’s nice and lasting gift

  • I really like mom74312’s idea – very cute and clever.

  • I’ve always like stationary gifts especially for someone like a teacher , pen , notebook/pad, keyring etc…If it is just a casual thing, a box of choccies ?

  • Why people feel the need to give presents to teachers is beyond me! But I would think a nice homemade little item made by your daughter. With a hone made card, also by your daughter. I always love the personal touch

  • We gave my kids teachers a pot plant each with the probably very overdone message of “thanks for helping me to grow”

  • chocolates! everyones favourite, wine? candles body bath, note book?

  • I hand made with my son gifts for his childcare teachers, a hand print painted in glitter with a nice poem on the other side, with a little pkt of mnms inside

  • spa day

  • Photo frames, stationery, mugs, vases, bookmark, book vouchers.

  • A gift card to a massage place if they get enough they may get a free one. I think after putting up with so many kids 5 days a week they deserve it.
But I think they appreciate homemade items the most.

  • We are not up to prep yet, but last year I got the kinder teachers some stuff from Avon. I’m mot sure what to do this year though. Maybe I will get them something from Avon again, and the kids can make them a card.

  • We used something like this last year
with the class of year 1 instead of an individual name

  • Homemade goodies are always LoVeD and if there is something the teacher does not like or she ends up with heaps of treats, there is always mum (me) to help out. te he
My daughter is a school teacher and she loves and appreciates things from the heart.
Children can help make food treats and they are always delicious to eat!
There are quite a few fruit cakes on this mom site apart from my “Grans Ginger Ale fruit cake” I also like Sanjipan’s “Diabetic fruit cake” apparently it is from 4 ingredients and I have made it a couple of times. The ingredients can be purchased quite cheaply and you can make little individual ones in Christmas tins. :-)

  • One year I got a set of coasters that you can slip a photo in & we used the computer to make collages of the kids in the class, printed them & stuck them in the coasters.

  • As a teacher the best thing that I have got are practical and unusual. I love the Christmas decorations, candle with poem about me, homemade cake / slice plate, a personalised keyring, wall plaque, plants for my garden, voucher for coffee and cake, the best was an old fashioned cooked Christmas Pudding (YUM!!). Chocolates and coffee cups (not sure I could count them all) and cheap bathroom products are given all the time try for something inventive. A card a made by the child is always great.
