Hello!

Okay I was at a teenage do last night, and noticed a particularly colourful idea. The lady had used plastic wine type glasses, with smarties, and some sorts of little wrapped chocolates, she had filled each one up, then on top had put a cupcake, for the ladies it had a shoe iced on top, for the guys it had a boat. Very colourful and seemed to lift the whole table full of goodies as well. Has anybody made these for little children. I guess you would use a small plastic type tumbler, and put a small amount in each with the cupcake, sunk a bit into the middle, otherwise to many sweets and hyping children up… You could also use a toothpick and put the names on for each person on a small square of paper, if you wanted to, with the name sort of flying above the cupcake.

  • Don’t think I’ve seen this before.
It would be so helpful if you could add a picture to your question!

  • That is a wonderful idea!

  • A wonderful idea for the festive/party season.

  • I have seen a lolly buffet before, where you fill decorative jars with different lollies and line them up to look good on a table. Not seen ones with cupcakes on top tho

  • I’ve never seen this done before. Sounds like a very festive idea. I have seen jars filled with treats as take home gifts.

  • What a brilliant idea, colourful and multi purpose. They serve as decorations during the party and then as take home gifts at the end of the night. I’m storing this idea away for my next do

  • I made them for my daughters birthday party so the kids could take a cake home with them along with their party favours bag. I filled the bottom with Smarties and then plonked the cake on top. I got really positive feedback about what a great idea it was (I found it on Pintrest)

  • Wow I haven’t even seen anything like it but sounds great!

  • never done it but will give it a try, maybe with small shot glasses and mini cupcakes.

  • No, but something like that would be on pinterest I reckon – going to look it up myself now

  • Sounds like a great idea.

  • No, but what you have described sounds lovely.

  • sounds fantastic, what a great idea thanks so much for sharing

  • Cool idea!!

  • A lot of work, methinks.
Kids really don’t care, it’s the parents that may appreciate your efforts.
