Hello!

I am starting to get it every month and my doctor thinks I am nuts! Does anyone else experience this?

  • Not exactly in the hip. I do get a shooting sharp pain in my lower abdomen, on one side. It was at a similar time every month, so I put it down to ovulation

  • YES YES YES! I do!! I can’t believe I’ve finally found someone who suffers the same thing. It’s quite painful at times too. When it’s really bad, I use a heat pack and Panadol, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Looks like we’re both nuts together!

  • That isn’t. Symptom I’ve ever experienced. Defiantly seek a second opinion if ur current doctor hasn’t given u a decent response or enough of and explanation…

  • it could just be a niggle that you get too but you know your body best and you should check with a doc to make sure everything is in it’s place. probably nothing to worry about

  • no, maybe it’s just your muscles and the hormones

  • Yes I do because the muscles in my back tighten and then they pull on my hips I need to go and have regular massages to help release it all as I am also a fitness instructor so my body goes through a lot I also visit the chiro once a month.

  • I don’t!

  • I still get the same pains I have always gotten with them and I get doubled up and my hips ache since having the kids…but in saying this if you think some thing may be wrong just get your doctor to look into with scan or x-ray or both to rule out any problem like that and than if you still are not happy get them to look into it more. You will know if it is normal for you and if it is worrying you insist on further investigation

  • I didnt however you could be experiencing localized pain. i had bad upper tooth pain and it was a bottom tooth that was causing the problem!

  • see your doctor.im over the monthly thing, but do remember that monthly pain.were u born with *clicky hips*?possibly that’s what it is,my daughter as well as myself, had clicky hips at birth.im not sure if its related but its a thought.wishing you well.

  • I get lower back and hip pain just depends on how stressed I am too on how bad it is.

  • I don’t, but I get plenty of other aches and pains. If it feels “wrong” to you, insist on some tests.

  • I get ovulation pains, but I agree with Meedee.

  • I got ovulation pain near my hip… the pill has fixed it for me though. Mine was the same as shocking period pain…

  • Get a second opinion, even a 3rd if necessary. I had severe ovulation pain after getting Essure birth control, as well as cysts I had also developed adenomyosis.
