Hello!

I’ve just had baby number 4. Kids ages range from 0 to 7. and would love some ideas.

  • Farm stays! Kids love helping to feed the animals and being able to run around in the open air. Some places do tractor rides etc and they are generally really family oriented.

  • I prefer the self contained cabins. It’s as close to camping you can get, minus the tent and campfire and drop toilet

  • I like a cabin by the beach, It most of the time has good kitchen facilities, a nice warm bed spread for you and a washing machine that works. Bring some foods in coolboxes and you don’t have to fly out to the shops. Alternatively when you have the money go for a cruise, then you can really lean backwards and relax (no cooking or cleaning and kids taken care for)

  • QLD is always a winner and not too far

  • I know you don’t want to do housework but your best option might be a holiday house away from home or a family room/adjoining rooms with a connecting door. Another option is a B&B but they are usually pretty expensive. Only take what you definitely need. Write a list to work from the cull what you decide you don’t need. People tend to take more clothes and food than they need. Some families travel either at night or leave early in the morning and the children go back to sleep for awhile. You don’t constantly get asked “how much further” or “how long before we get there” Be prepared for “toilet stops”. If you stop to put more fuel in your car make it a toilet break too. (I learnt that from my parents when my siblings and I were young)

  • We loved Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast. The price includes 4 hours a day of kids club !

  • Definitely beach – QLD or Bali!

  • Depending whether you want to go overseas or stay in Australia – Noosa is great for kids or Fiji could be another option (slow paced, kids clubs, beach). Enjoy planning!

  • I would say a Carnival Cruise varied age groups of kids club time for you and the kids together and apart. Lots included in ticket price and no planes airports buses trains ect.
