Hello!

Best veggies to grow with kids? – I’ve decided to get into the garden with my kids (they are 5 and 3). Any ideas on the easiest veggies (most likely to grow)? I figure if they’re fairly indestructible, the kids will have a better chance of success.

  • Parsnips & Spring onion. Easy peasy :) !


  • Carrots are great. Grow from seeds and they’re pretty quick to appear, also very hardy. Corn is pretty fail safe too


  • id ask at Bunnings, depends where you live. I can only grow strawberrys n tomatos


  • Zucchini are easy to grow and yield a great crop!! Others are tomatoes (especially cherry), snow peas and silverbeet

  • It depends where you live and what they eat, good all year rounders are carrots but they take 20 weeks until harvest, during summer I recommend pumpkin, zucchin and tomato for winter beans, peas and rocket
