I think there’s a special carpet cleaning variety.

yeah i had seen in the comments somewhere that a mum had used it for her carpet so i was just curious. thanks heidi, i might try to find that product.

I have never used it. Is it meant to be a stain remover or stop dirt penetrating it?? I have never seen it demonstrated. Varnish is normally sticky until it dries.

I have, I seen the ad on TV & did what they said, sprinkled it on the carpet, brushed it in with a broom & then vacuumed.
Honestly, I did not notice much difference. It was just messy.
Give it a go yourself & hopefully you have better results but I was very disappointed. Maybe I didn’t do it right or it needed to be left longer.

I would go with hopefullyheidi’s suggestion – Pullmans sounds good and it is a product designed for carpet. The price sounds reasonable.

I’d be interested in knowing the answer to this as well. I use Pullmans stain remover for about $10.00 from Godfreys. There are also a few good ones available from Woolworths

I have only used Vanish on clothes. It may discolour your carpet? Maybe test it on a little patch that no one can see if you decide to use it on your carpet?
