Hello!

We have one of those electric milk frothers for the pod coffee machines. It is a nightmare to keep clean. The milk always burns and sticks to one spot each time we use it and I struggle to get it clean. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop/prevent this from happening or how to best clean the machine each time?

  • First of all clean it after every use so there’s no build up. Don’t use rough sponches as it damages the inside layer and only causes burn build ups. I use nappisan for dirty pans and frothers. When I worked in geriatrics we used denatl cleaning tablets ! (like steradent or any other brand)

  • I use it in plain water a few times. It’s meant to clean it

  • Clean after each use or you can soak in dishwashing liquid till the next use.

  • I regularly (well I try regularly) use just water in the frother. I think this cleans it out well and helps it keep from blocking up

  • I see this is a very old post but i found some good tips on her answers, thanks!

  • Clean immediately after use as it is easy at this stage.

  • Warm water and a scratch free cloth.

  • Sit it in a jug or container filled with boiling water, and use a thick cloth with no detergent to wipe it clean on a daily or weekly basis.

  • yeah you have to clean those after every use. it is a pain but that’s what you gotta do! lol

  • I clean mine every time I use it, clean it while it’s on.

  • Regularly! is the best answer to this question, you should wipe down the want each time you use it, alternatively leave it to soak in a cup of water for a few hours then hit it with some steel wool. I have nearly fired many baristas for failing to wipe down the milk wand!

  • Hi there you should clean it after every time you use it or the next time burns the milk left from the last time if you know what I mean. Usually just hot water and a scourer that DOESN’T scratch. You say it’s worse on one side? Maybe you have already scratched it ? Hope this helps !!

  • Clean wet cloth for the outside (hot) and there is a specific brush you can buy to clean up inside it.

  • You need to wipe with a damp cloth each time immediately after each frothing the same as a professional barista

  • you have to clean it straight after you use it
