Hello!

Have you been to a cooking class and is it worth the money? Some of them seem pretty expensive.

  • Yes i attend the classes and its worth to to attend them bcz there are many technical point and steps which make cooking style more professional

  • you can youtube things nowadays. But i went to a pastry and tart cooking class last year (mothers day present) and had a lovely couple of hours. so i would definitely go again time permitting.

  • If you want to learn to cook why not try this at home

  • No I have not, but I’m always experimenting.

  • I have attended free classes when community events have been held and even had demonstrations from celebrity chefs. Just need to research and find out where they are held.

  • No don’t have the time I buy lots of cook books ,google recipes and follow the recipe instructions and always make delicious meals from scratch

  • I think they are fairly pricey but you might need to look around, would be fun though.

  • This is something I have wanted to do for sometime but I agree it is pretty expensive

  • No but i would definitely love to one day

  • I think it could be handy depending on what type of cooking class or if there was a particular dish/cuisine that you really wanted to master.

  • Nope. Everything is on YouTube these days…

  • I went to a cooking class for a hens night a few weeks back and it was brilliant! I loved every single second of it! We learnt to make 2 dishes and after making each one we all went and sat down to eat it and they paired wine with each dish for us too. It went for around 3 hours and was $120. I definitely want to do it again one day when I can save up to do it again. If you love cooking as much as I do, you will probably love it as much as I did!

  • They are so expensive! And I am not sure they are beneficial.

  • Only cooking classes I’ve attended have been at school. I find that watching some cooking shows is brilliant to learn technique and new recipes. Good Chef Bad Chef is fabulous and The Cooks Pantry with Matt Sinclair. Both have step by step recipes that are easy to follow and quite simple to replicate.

  • I have been to classes for other things and have always enjoyed them. It depends on what you are looking for and the skills you are wanting to learn. I have picked up some terrific skills.
