Hello!

Most cough medicines are no longer recommended for kids under six. That leaves me with just honey for a cough. Is there anything else I can give my 3 year old some relief? Thanks

  • I’ve found honey works well as said below. We also make sure the air isn’t too dry so sometimes use a humidifier and encourage the kids to drink lots of water too.

  • Have heard good thinks about the raw and manuka honey remedies. Its expensive though. Have also heard that olive leaf extract is good, not sure if that’s only for adults though. MIght be worth googling. Vicks on the feet at night with socks on is supposed to be good too.

  • Australians waste yearly millions of dollars on cough and cold medicine.
Giving honey what you do (preferably raw honey or manuka honey) is just the best you can do, you can add some cinnamon which is also a good cold remedy.

  • There is one I think that you can use on 2+
Otherwise I’ve heard Vicks on the bottom of the feet with socks on is suppose to help
