Hello!

Most mums cry when dropping their children off to school for the first time, I did. I’d be at school early as well to pick them up. What did you do?

  • I didn’t cry but I was a little sad when she was walking off with her class, but also happy because I knew she was so excited.

  • Not my eldest – I think I was still too busy with the younger ones – but I did with the youngest.

  • No I didn’t cry, although with my youngest (she has T21) I felt quite emotional.

  • I bawled! And it was worse because he bawled too! He caught the bus home, I was at the bus stop waiting. He was nearly as happy to see me as I was to see him :)

  • I’ve only dropped my son off at 3 yo kinder this year, he is normally at home with me 24/7 no childcare or daycare, I was fine….he even dismissed me!! I was so proud to see how excited and enthusiastic he was! :D I think I may have been the only Mum not weeping btw.

  • Ohhh im glad im not the only one

  • Yes I did cry with my first child going to school and then repeated it again with No. 2 child and yet again with my No. 3 child as I had no other children at home after number 3. Just remember t o enjoy them as they grow up so quickly.

  • Yes i cried, all the way home, the teacher had given us a little miss u mum bag, which started me off,its ok to cry,the teacher gave us all a treat too on pickup for being brave mums and leaving our babies with her

  • I never did with mine but it was sad when my youngest started as it was the first time in over 10 years I would be home alone…..I’m now used to it but I do look forward to 3pm.

  • it is an emotional time. Nothing wrong with a little teary!

  • Yes I cried when both my boys started school. I think I cried for quite a bit of the day

  • I didn’t cry but was sad my little man was now a big boy going to school. But i did have my hands full explaining to the younger siblings why they couldnt stay with him at school for the day. They were the ones crying as i took them home. It was every ten minutes my daughter asked can we go get him yet?? Now a year later its every hour my daughter asks every day can we go get him yet.?
