Hello!

The fashion seems to be either not finding out the sex or not telling people the sex of the baby in pregnancy. I am curious what you did and why? BTW, we found out for our second pregnancy. My husband didn’t want to tell anyone the sex but I accidentally let it slip!

  • Nice to read the different thoughts and answers on this question.

  • I found out and I told people. I actually felt as though I was more connected t9 the foetus as I was calling it ‘him’. I did it for both my pregnancies.

  • I found out ASAP and told my closest friends and family shortly after.

  • I didn’t know, I didn’t want to know. It seems to in the in thing to know now, with big gender reveal parties. Not for me

  • We found out with our 2nd one but didn’t share with others.

  • I did!! I knew it in my heart that my i will have a baby boy so i was really eager to know in advance and so is my hubby. Best decision ever

  • We found out the sex of our son. Couldn’t help ourselves

  • Yes, we found out with all 4. We always said we wanted them to be surprises but both hubby and I couldn’t wait to find out and then we’re so excited so we told everyone.

  • I didn’t want to know. All I wanted to know was that the baby was healthy.

  • Yes. I’m a single mum and wanted to be prepared.

  • Didn’t want to know with either of ours. My sons partner is expecting and they want to know the sex. Shopping today for a baby without knowing the sex is a nightmare! It’s so hard to find baby clothes that aren’t pink or blue, for a boy or girl.

  • Oh, I didn’t want to but his little bits were so clear in the scan – it was definitely a boy!!

  • In my 2nd pregnancy now and didn’t find out the gender for either. I have found that most people did find out and it is hard to get generic clothing!

  • I wasn’t going to but at the 20 week ultrasound it was too hard to resist so I ended up finding out. It helped me prepare easier as well.

  • When we knew we told people but for the third we didnt as we didnt know what sex it was . When you know what sex it is i dont think it matters if others know. keeping it a secret is only exciting for the parents thinking other will be really excited by the announcement, but really all others care about is that the baby arrives safely.
