  • I have no idea. All I know is Manuka honey has medicinal properties. I’ll have to google the answer. :D

  • For what I understand, manuka honey is better than raw honey, unless the manuka honey is pasteurized. In that case it’s not raw, so it looses a lot of its benefits.


  • Manuka is a type of raw honey and is said to have lots of health benefits.


  • Raw honey hasn’t been processed – so has more nutrients than the ‘normal’ honey you buy in the supermarket. Manuka honey is like super honey, but you have to have a really high kfactor associated with it for it to be of any benefit. I think something like 100. And the higher the kfactor the higher the cost. The 10+ ones you get in the supermarket aren’t doing much except cleaning out your wallet.


  • Good question. I think Manuka has added health benefits. I know it’s more expensive! Raw honey is just your average run of the mill honey. More health benefits then off the supermarket shelf honey, but not as many as Manuka
