Hello!

Does anyone make their own Washing Powder for front loaders? I have sensitive skin and especially sensitive to fragrances but would like to make my own. Does anyone have a great receipe, tips or feedback on doing it yourself?

  • I didn’t post the question but came to see the answers. Thank you nadine for your recipe.

  • Here’s a recipe for Laundry powder that is so easy: 1 box of Lux flakes (or 700 grams of grated soap), 1 cup of Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda), couple of drops of eucalyptus or tea tree oil. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix the ingredients until they are really fine. Store the mix in a sealed air-tight container. To wash, dissolve a teaspoon in a 1/2 cup of boiling water and add to your laundry section of your washing machine. My friend uses this mix in her front loader and has no worries. (If you can find Borax, you can also make powder using that, grated soap and washing soda).
