Hello!

I called my first “Sweet Pea” before she was officially named and 4 years later it still stands, I although she sometimes doesn’t like it! Do you call your baby a term of endearment?

  • Lol my endearment names are very unique, not even sure how to spell them! But I call my boy doodles and my oldest is bouby doo.

  • I think these little nick names are so cute.

  • Still do and my baby is 7! I call her Bunny! Cause she was always on the move and cute as a bunny!

  • I used to call my daughter “cookie” when she was small and sometimes I still do.

  • munchkin, poppet, sweetie = are just some I’ve called my kids, I’m sure there’s heaps more I don’t even realise I’m saying

  • I don’t have one specific term for my little girl but she gets all sorts of nicknames from me, my partner and our families.

  • Not knowing the sex of baby during both my pregnancies, they were referred to as ‘Bub’. It stuck for a little while after birth, but they then develop personalities and get new nicknames

  • I do. He’s 3 and still answers to it.. But I’m trying to start calling him by his name instead.

  • I call my daughter possum or poss & my son I call buddy, usually only at home. I got called possum by my dad when I was little so that has just been passed down I guess.

  • moo, Miss Moofie to be exact! dont know why but its stuck! I’ve also called my son ‘Sam’ for the past 12 years…but his name is completely different!

  • Yes but they have numerous names eg bubba, pumpkin, mummy’s little man, baby boy. I think eventually I’ll stop and I try to use their names in public.

  • Yes I did, when I was pregnant with my twins I called them bib and bub, no biggy and did not continue after they were born, I think I was always trying to work out who was who as they were and still are identical. My daughter was called pumpkin, and 25 years later she is still called pumpkin or Bub, mainly Pumpkin, so be careful with terms of endearment, my sister was called Fred from a baby and at 40 she is still trying to shake the name!!!

  • i dont call any of my children by anything other than their name. i have a friend who called her little girl “bubbles” because she was always blowing bubbles with milk. now the girl is 15 years old and people still call her that and it embarrasses her

  • With our first scan, she was called spot as that’s all we could see. Now she gets little bunny

  • Pumpkin, sweet potato (she has red hair), chicken (not sure why), beautiful
