Hello!

We do not spend a lot, but I know many people do spend a lot. Do you have a budget?

  • No – my husband doesn’t believe in it, so we stick to homemade.

  • We always buy lots of food items that we know my husband likes, such as chocolates, biscuits, nuts and create a little hamper for him.

  • We spent very little on Father’s Day, but had a wonderful time together. :)

  • We do a special lunch and the kids always bring something home from school – we may buy something small if there is something we really want but never over say $20.

  • home made gifts are the best – expensive gifts aren’t necessary, and the kids don’t need to become materialistic.. Just my thoughts :)

  • My daughter normally makes something for him but we have to moved out and have a five month old so things are a bit crazy so I got a drawing done of them to give to him than i saw that monster trucks are coming to melbourne in a few months and also got him tickets to take our eldest. They both love watching them. We completely splurged on him this year and i know he will appreciate it.

  • My son is at primary school so they have a father’s day stall on the friday before, his budget was $6, I’ll then go out and get a present that will be from myself, my daughter (high school student) and son which is usually chocolates and something else, so no, we dont spend much on father’s day…we’ve already spent the budget as hubby’s bday is 2 weeks prior!!

  • I don’t really have a budget, but this year I spent around 40 dollars.

  • We tend to spend more so for birthdays and on Father’s day buy something he will love but also within our budget!

  • My Dad doesn’t believe in these things and he would prefer that we visit or perhaps go out for a meal etc. I think it is best to know what your Dad or the person is like first as everyone’s expectation are different and that way money is worth spending on because it is right for the person . Enjoy the day .

  • We prefer to have a small budget and save money for holidays. We appreciate him all year round and a holiday together is the best.

  • I tend to make something, get everyone together to visit and just make a fuss of dad. I try and get him something he’ll like or he needs. If I decide to buy something and it’s a bit pricey, I’ll see if some of my siblings will throw in to reduce the cost
