  • I just have a small get together at home every year with family & close friends ????

  • Yes, but we don’t have big parties. A lot of school friends do a huge party every second year – we prefer smaller and every year.

  • My daughter only had her 5th birthday at a play centre. So my answer is No :)

  • No, not every year at venues, it’s too costly. Before the kids started school it was just family members. When they were at primary school I did the venue thing twice and I had a combined party for both kids as their birthdays are 6 weeks apart. Sometimes I would just do a family get together and the kids could have one or two friends over and we would have take away and a nice cake from the Cheesecake shop.

  • Definitely not. I personally don’t find it necessary for kids to have a party every year. My kids get to choose what they have for dinner on their birthday and we have cake and family visit. They have parties for their 1st birthday then usually not again until kinder maybe one a couple of years later. Then their big birthdays, 10 13 16 & 18

  • Both! Venues at the Club, indoor rock climbing and Mcdonald’s were all great great and cafe indoor playgrounds were fun too but not as much food was provided at the cafes playgrounds.

  • Before they started school, we just had family and friends around. When they started school, they didn’t have a party every year, but they were allowed to have friends for a sleepover and we would do things. I basically left it up to the kids, if they wanted a party, we had one. But that wasn’t every year

  • No we have decided to do a bigger party every second year. On the smaller years we will still have family up for coffee and cake, but I don’t think they need a huge over the top party every year

  • No party but I will make her a cake and celebrate within ourselves at home together.

  • Never did birthdays, we preferred to spend the day together doing something special, now his a teenager we still do it, I always give a choice and ask what he wants to do, sometimes it is nothing and prefers to spend the day at home.

  • As much as my daughter would love to it’s just not possible. She has cousins and we have a family ‘party ‘ every year.

  • My eldest turns 4 this year and youngest turns 1. I’ve had parties every year so far, and will continue for now. But it’s been informal family bbqs for the most part. Sure I decorate & make some special food, but it’s just small family gatherings.

  • No, not every year. On my daughter’s 3rd and 6th birthday we had just moved to a new place so no party. We celebrated ourselves of course. Then no party other 3 times. She’s now 16. So, over 16 birthdays she didn’t get a party 5 times. But when we missed, we also made something special, like going to the zoo, luna park or something else.

  • We have every year except my daughters 1st, poor thing haha. But with 3 kids now, I don’t think we will have one every year… too much work.

  • No, we don’t do birthday parties every year.
