  • Thanks for asking and thanks to everyone for sharing. I love fried chicken too!

  • I simmer Maryland for 2 hours then shallow fry

  • Thanks MOM’S – I will need to have a fried chicken cook off! ;) Thanks for all of the recipes and tips! :)

  • I usually get chicken breast cut into strips flatened out a little, i have a plate of flour, plate off beaten eggs and and a plate of bread crumbs i duck it in the flour both sides, then again with the egg then into the crumbs then into a deep fryer for up to 5 mins depending on size of chicken, its ready when a light goldern brown.( i cut first peice in half to check if fully cooked through) I then add salt or pepper after cooking depending on if its for adults or kids. My kids love it and its easy to do.

  • Mine is oven fried, I choose the healthier option, but it is delicious. I toss the chicken in rice flour, onion powder and garlic powder. Place on a rack over an oven tray. Cook at 190*C for approximately an hour, depending on size and if they’re boneless or not.

  • Hi, there are some great recipe’s on the internet, Martha Stewart has some yummy ones, but this is what I Like to do.

I get enough chicken pieces for the meal
I get a freezer bag, put plain flour, salt, pepper, mixed spices, and shake well
I put a couple of pieces of chicken at a time in the bag and shake well.
I have one bowl with buttermilk and 2 eggs mixed well and one with seasoned breadcrumbs
I shake the flour off each piece of chicken put in the milk mixture, then into the breadcrumbs, get all done keeping one hand for wet and one for dry
Once all are done, I will go back to the first piece and repeat the process.
When done a second time I cover with glad wrap and put in the fridge to chill.
Leave it there in the fridge for a minimum of an hour.

Then get the deep fryer, deep fry until golden brown, place onto a baking sheet and put into a low to medium oven until chicken is fully cooked through.

Cooking them in the oven seems to set the crumbs on the chicken and it is lovely.

    good luck.
ps. I don’t use recipe’s or specific measurements, I use by taste.
