Why not make a rice salad to go with it? Just cook up rice and peas. Mix together with a tin of drained corn kernels and you have a simple summer side salad.. To be bold you can drain and cut up baby betroot and mix that through as well..

Sweet potatoes. I love them mashed and mixed with yogurt and rosemary. But if you don’t like to mash them you could simply roast them in the oven, maybe with honey and apple cider vinegar.

The slaw is definitely a winner…. Depending on when you are having it. for summer I would say salad, noodle salad could be a goer as well. On a normal night I’d have some mashed potato an steamed greens. Yum

Always coleslaw and buns with marinated pork, yum. Slow cook the pork so that it falls apart and then it becomes a super delicious outdoor summer meal with the slaw.
