Hello!

I’m working on a bumble bee theme for my daughters birthday. I am making little jelly bean jars as thank you gifts and would like to have a cute looking bee on top. I can’t find any in the shops so far or online. Does anyone know how to make some?

  • No but what a fantastic idea.

  • I would recommend having a look on Pinterest for any crafty ideas or party ideas. Good luck!

  • I’m sure that Pinterest would yield some pretty cool bee related crafts. It’s my go-to for inspiration these days :-)

  • Get little pegs (the tiny one,)paint them yellow then put black stripes on them, make some little wings out of either wrapping paper or craft paper and glue behind the peg.. Then stick the bee on the lid

  • Maybe find a picture online and just print out a number of small copies?

  • I’ve done the google search but the only nice things that come up take me to Amazon or Etsy and the delivery gets all complicated. I just want something from aus if possible.

  • If you do a google search and go to images that should give you some ideas.

  • Oh that’s awesome!!!
I’ve been looking online to purchase done and it’s impossible unless they come from the UK!
I just assumed there is nothing available here also.
I will check Spotlight out ASAP. Thanks for your advice ladies

  • Like Fruitwood said. I have seen little bees at spotlight too. My daughters prep class were called Mrs B’s Busy Bees I am sure that is where Mrs B got them from. If you go to spotlight or any craft shop I am sure you will find yellow pompoms and black felt for the stripes and plastic googly eyes (i wouldn’t worry about the legs) The staff there would be able to suggest the right craft glue to use. Good Luck :-)

  • Spotlight used to sell little bumble bees but failing that you can make them yourself using small yellow pom poms. You might be able to find a tutorial on you tube that you could follow.
