Hello!

I’m curious. I used to know a girl who worked at coles/woolies and she used to work at night walking through the store at night with a trolley picking up the items that had been ordered online. I’m wondering who does this? What’s the job description and how would I get into doing this kind of work? If anyone can help it would be awesome! It would be a good job as my daughter is a toddler now. Thank you

  • I think it’s just regular staff who fill the online orders, although now it’s so big they may have a whole separate job for it

  • Nowadays they only take online applications, whereby you often can indicate your availability days and hours.

  • Would be interesting to know if anyone is doing this job?

  • I doubt is a special role. You will need to apply for a job at the company probably start off as a sales assistant and start there .

  • In my area (sydney) the orders are filled at the warehouse so not the standard store. Nightfill positions are available online via the company website

  • Curious did you end up getting the job?

  • Apply with the store or online. Often these positions are advertised and applied for online.

  • good on you for wanting to get back into the workforce. at least that would be a great job, just shopping!

  • they don’t often advertise specifically for a person just to do this. you’re best bet would be to apply online for Coles and Woolies ensuring you tick the box where they ask you what departments. It means you get considered for all their jobs.

  • I’ve seen ads in the newspaper for order pickers for Coles. I agree, it seems like a fun job.

  • The standard staff are used, they don’t employ people specifically for this job. apply for a night fill or night register job and get a foot in the door

  • there could be information on their website

  • you may not get picking the online orders but you could get a shelf stocking job – ask at the stores. Also Kmart and Target are often open 24 hours and might have work too if there are some close by you.

  • Go online and apply for jobs with the company.

  • i would say go down to woolworths and ask the manager on how to go for this job and if any stores in your area need this done
