  • Grated cheese, rice rusks, baby biscuits, milk arrowroots, chunkc of steamed veg, soft fruits – pear, mango, watermelon

  • anything that was on my plate! have a look at baby lead weaning sites, they really do have some amazing ideas!

  • My son loves small pieces of cheese, banana and toast cut into small squares.
I also made a thin zucchini slice and added carrot, which I break up into pieces for him to eat. It can be frozen too.

  • My kids loved steamed mushrooms and peas! Peas are easy to take anywhere too, mushies tend to stain so only give them when they’re in play clothes.

  • Steamed veggies, omelette or frittata (with grated veggies) cut into pieces, my son LOVES chicken ‘muffins’ – essentially just chicken mince with some spices, spinach leaves and a dash of tamari, then baked into individual muffin sized serves (I cut it up into bite sized pieces for him). Any kind of patty – again I cut up into pieces.

  • Home made potatoe, zuchini and pumpkin soup mashed. with a bit of milk.

    Rice and vegetable soup mashed.

    Apple pear puree with oats.

  • My baby is 6 months old and loves toast, teething rusks and biscuits

  • Chicken nuggets, slices of fruit or veggies, fish cocktails, cheese sticks, cherry tomatoes.

  • My bub used to love sucking in broccoli heads, avocado strips were fun but slippery, toast cut into chunky strips. I used to roast sweet potatoes in strips to hold and also freeze them in zip lock bags – they were brilliant to pull out and quickly heat.

  • Veggie sticks, fruits (banana, berries, peach, apple), cooked and cooled pasta, cheese (sticks or even shredded cheese), dry cereal

  • Carrot sticks, thin watermelon wedges, sandwiches cut into thin fingers (mine liked crusts off), chunks of cheese. They will be messy no matter what they eat.

  • chunks or slices of carrot, broccoli, potato, butternut squash, pieces of banana or melon

  • mince chicken or any other meat and add it to minced veggies, tool them into a ball and bake them. Par cooked carrot sticks or apple slices, banana
