  • I was the opposite. I ended up with some belly hair.

  • yes it is normal for some people – that and the little “baby hairs”

  • I haven’t heard of hair loss after birth. I would see my GP

  • You don’t lose as much hair while pregnant but once those hormones wear off you lose a lot, it feels like more but isn’t really. You can lose hair through stress or illness or even maybe a medication side effect.

  • I don’t have any ideas but I’m 6 months post baby number 2 and my hair is falling out so bad that my husband is co planning of the amount of hair around the house, after vacuuming by the end of the day there is clumps and clumps of it down the hallway,

  • I only noticed this after baby 2 and 3. So frustrating and I have no idea why, i guess it’s all hormone related. It took me ages to grow it back as I lost parts around my fringe and I had a spiky fringe for ages :(

  • it will be that way until about 8 months

  • Thank you so much for asking this and all the reassuring answers. My hair was coming out in handfulls, had a small panic!

  • My hairdresser tells me this is very common.

  • I did actually – it does settle.

  • Your body has gone through so much and all your hormones have been thrown about. Try not to stress because that tends to make it worse. Things should right themselves eventually, a visit to the dr for some reassurance would make you feel less stressed.

  • I hope you have found a way to may it grow back

  • Good luck I hope its growing back now

  • I’m still loosing my hair! I have three kids and the youngest is 18months. I’d love to know why and how to stop it!

  • I lose copious amounts of hair after the birth of my daughter, there was hair EVERYWHERE! It settled down after a few months. I think it’s just the hormones.
