  • I only have soft cases and haven’t had a problem. I can’t speak for hard cases though.

  • We flew 1,5 year ago to Europe and Africa. The soft suitcases didn’t survive, but the hard suitcases did and will last many more travels.

  • i personally think soft cases last longer as they dont crack, and i have never had anything break in my soft case. the only down size can be the weight

  • Love the suggestions for using different cases for different types of travel.

  • I have both & use accordingly to circumstance, travelling long distance than hard cases but when traveling local I use soft cases

  • I’ve always used soft. They’re good to squash things into and don’t add much to the overall weight, which is great when strict weight limits apply. I have recently become an owner of a hard case, haven’t used it yet, I assume it would make packing breakable things safer

  • I have soft ones and they are light but I wonder if hard ones are more durable.

  • soft as they are lighter.

  • I have always had soft and don’t have any problems.
