Hello!

We moved to this area for a better family life and so I could be home to raise the kids. However now as they get older I’m thinking there are no choices here. Has anyone thought about moving the whole family which would mean leaving a good job for the education of your kids?

  • We moved from Northern Ireland to Australia with our family. My sister lives in Zimbabwe and now her kids reach the age of studying after yr 12, they consider to move back to Europe for a better education.

  • It’s a big decision especially if it means leaving a job. I’d try and secure another job before making the move.

  • We did not move, but travelled to a school further away.

  • We did move to another city and my first consideration when choosing a suburb was the local school’s reputation. Our move turned out to be a good decision as my child’s school was great.

  • We live about 40km from the nearest school and 350km from the city.

  • Are you able to travel to another suburb for better schools or are you in a regional area? I don’t send my son to the local schools, I drive half another away.
