Hello!

I’ve seen these online, there’s also recipes and meal plans but I’m interested if anyone has tried the shakes and what they taste like, quality and if they fill you up as a meal replacement? Looking at these more for convenience for breakfast or lunch when I don’t have time for a ‘proper’ meal. They claim it helps lose weight – which I’m not overly looking for but would be an added bonus! Mainly I’m wanting to know the quality and taste if anyone has tried them?

  • I have never found a diet shake that I liked the taste of so have not bothered wasting anymore money.
Apparently you can go to the doctor and ask for something that looks like a thick green goo which you drink – it tastes like crap but apparently works for real!

  • The new premium shakes are really good. Much creamier than the old ones. I like to add some fruit to make them more filling if I’m using them as a meal though.

  • I haven’t tried any yet, but might give it a go.

  • I have used shakes for various reasons and have always added fruit to them.

  • I have the vanilla smoothie mix. They seem to be quite natural compared to a lot of smoothies on the market. I’ve never tried the smoothie mix on its own with milk or water, I always use some of the recipes that they suggest. As with all things, it’s very much a personal preference thing so I’ve found some recipes that I love and others that I’m not very fond of but overall I like most of them and can pretty much tell now from looking at a recipe whether I’ll like it or not.
I’m not focused on weight loss, just wanted to be healthier and eat better. The Healthy Mummy smoothie’s don’t contain and weight loss accelerants so they’re not a typical ‘weight loss shake’ but I find they are a great meal replacement (as long as you add the extra stuff like fruits or seeds, oats etc.) I find it’s very versatile and I look forward to my smoothies.

  • The first time I tried them, I didn’t like the taste. you have to blend realy well to ensure texture isn’t grainy. But then I tried some of the shake recipes that healthy mummy offer. My favourite is sneaky snickers – I even have this as a treat without the smoothie mix. It fills me up and I use as a breakfast / lunch replacement

  • I’ve tried them and like the coffee or chocolate flavour.

  • I tried them and they do really fill you up, they taste quite chalky though, I found adding loads of ice helped to fix that though! Very expensive compared to diy smoothies

  • I got some as a quick breakfast as am breastfeeding and found I was eating on the run too much! I’ve tried the vanilla flavour and it’s nice with some fruit blended in.

  • I really like them, I’ve used them on and off for the last few years, I do find them filling (you can have them just with milk/water or I add oats, fruits and veggies etc) and tasty.
They quite often have sales so you can pick them up a bit cheaper, and depending where you are they have local consultants who sell them as well.
