My friend wanted me to join, so now im doing my first run run (jog lol) never done one and im not a jogger.. im not sure how im going to run 4km!!! any tips?

  • Start training now! Try to run for as long as you can then walk and keep repeating (interval training) you will feel your fitness level increasing pretty quickly.

  • Interval training is your friend!

    I would do interval training so run 500m, walk briskly for 500m then repeat, that should build up your stamina.

  • I wouldn’t push myself too hard when first starting out. Make sure you warm up or walk quickly initially and then do bursts of jogging and walking.

  • Just fast walk it, that’s what I do. Fun runs have all sorts of fitness levels and heaps of people walk it.

  • start training if you want to run the whole way – otherwise there will be opportunities to walk and have fun with others

  • There will be all fitness levels so don’t worry just do a few practice jogs and walks and you will be comfortable about doing it.

  • good for you. take your time building up the distance and going from walking/ running

  • Good for you for having a go! It’s called a fun run so just go out and have fun. Do your best, don’t stress if you need to walk for a bit. Just enjoy it! Good luck
