Hi mums I’m after an effective headlice treatment or remedy. We have tried everything, its got to the point of shaving my 11yr old daughters head never in my life have I had so much trouble with headlice. I generally spend between 15-30 a week or every two weeks to treat the problem, there is five of us to treat and then I strip the whole house down wash everything its all good and then she gets them again is there anything you can do to prevent them as we have recently been told by the school that there are some kids who refuse to have their hair treated, some parents said they cant afford it and one parent replied with I don’t care so I’m open to suggestions ill try just about anything. thanks. Do you know any good headlice treatments?

  • homebrand conditioner – work it through dry hair leave for a few minutes then rinse.

  • I have had the same issue, I found using headlice prevention shampoo 1-2 times a week and coconut oil has worked touch wood! We have been battling it for 6mths and coconut oil has worked the best…

  • A dab of tea tree oil behind each ear every day is meant to help prevent them.
