Hello!

Help getting a loan? – I need some advice/help urgently. I am a homemaker and in need for a personal loan but as I am not working it’s hard. If I apply with my partner I can get the loan but it’s something I want to do on my own. I can afford the weekly payment but where can I get or find one that will offer me a personal loan?

  • I’ve only ever got loans through a bank. Maybe accessing a finance broker for some guidance

  • Oh lord, be careful! Please only go through a reputable financer… and read the small print!

  • oh you can get pre-approved online to help save you time

  • The bank would be my first port of call good luck

  • yeah look around. a lot of places won’t give you a loan unless you earn at least $30,000 per year. be persistant and look around because there are a few around that will.

  • i think if you google loans you might find one that works for you

  • I’d check with the bank as the first starting point

  • goodluck, I hope you find someone to help

  • just talk to yur bank, but if you don’t have personal income then no one is going to give it to you

  • All financial institutions have their own lending criteria, and as long as you have a regular source of income (it doesn’t have to be from working) then don’t rule out the banks. Have a chat with your own bank, or one of the larger finance companies. You may have to pay a slightly higher interest rate because you represent a higher risk to the company, but that is not necessarily a bad thing if you aren’t locked in to fixed repayments and can pay extra as you can negate the increased interest rate by paying it off early. Shop around, talk to people, but do not apply until you are confident that you will be approved. Too many inquiries on your credit rating can end up working against you in the future. Good luck with this.

  • Banks will only lend you money if you have an income regardless if you say you can afford it so you would have to go to somewhere like a loan shark who will charge you heaps on interest.

  • i tried to get a loan the other day but its not worth it the money you have to pay back just wow, saving is what we doing now

  • If you have your own personal superannuation they also have a loan company attached. However depending on the amount they are more apt to give you a credit card for a smaller loan, bigger interest rate or borrow from your homeloan if you have a redraw attached. However I dont see why you couldnt get your partner involved and just take it out in your name your responsibility.
    Good luck

  • What path have you taken with your loan now?

  • Impossible for any banks to lend anyone money if that person do not have a job, hence you need to go eith your husband if you want a loan.
