I think stress can play a part in any of your bodily functions so if you are very anxious at the current moment your cycles, moods etc can be irregular. Maybe after new year go to a trusty GP , to get a full checkup first to relive your worries , then go back a month later if nothing has changes. That way you are not endlessly worrying , esp now that new year is coming up. All the best :)
