How did you tell you loved ones you were pregnant?

I told my husband with a present, he opened it up and it was some booties. He was ecstatic! Excited! What did you end up doing? Or saying?

I didn’t give my partner a present of anything. We planned for our bubs and after 3 weeks my body felt different so said I think we are. Wasn’t confirmed til 7 weeks and kept it from everyone til the 3 month mark. Can’t remember what was said but I didn’t have a baby shower.

No surprise for hubby, he was there with me when I found out. I rang my mum who told my dad and hubby rang his mum

Partner – walked out with pregnancy test in hand… big smile and big hugs
Parents – cowboy boots in a box to open…
Everyone else – photo on facebook with my cat and dog declaring they were getting a human

i love the idea about filming it. i just told hubby that we might need to test and so we both were handling it lol

Hubby was with me at both confirmations, so no need to tell him. I then rang and told my mum, who told the rest of the family. Hubby told his mum with the same result. No clever little thingys for us

My sister last year about November gave a list to everyone when we were having family dinner night at mum and dads house and said I have an early Christmas present list and it had baby items written on it. We were like what you don’t need these… then we realised that actually she does, she’s pregnant!

Telling my partner was a bit crap (he’d come home from a rare night out and I told him while he was tipsy)
Telling our families was fantastic though- I told them to sit around the table and I would get a nice photo, instead I was filming and instead of saying “say cheese” I said “I’m pregnant”.
Their reactions were fantastic and I got it on film!

Nice! We heard it on the phone together. I had an IVF so it was different from other people. The nurse was going to phone me at 1 pm so tell me the result. My husband came home from work so we could answer the phone together. We learned it at the same time!
