Hello!

What can I offer my son who hates milk to help me wean him. He is almost 2 and I’d like to offer an alternative but he spits milk straight out!

  • I wouldn’t focus too much on milk. You can offer yogurt and look to other calcium rich protein rich food sources. Also you can add a bit of milk to foods like a bit of milk added to puree, a bit of milk added to scrambled egg, a bit of milk added to a sauce

  • I was told that I didn’t need to give my youngest milk when I weaned him from breastfeeding. Health nurse said as long as he was getting dairy other ways and was drinking water that was fine. He’d have milk every now and then but not every day

  • I have tried a couple and some different temperatures, he will drink water from a cup only. I guess I worry it’s not enough. I haven’t tried toddler milk yet, maybe I can get a sample in the mail, I don’t want to buy a whole tin.

  • Have you tried different milks? For example almond milk or soy milk or coconut milk even. If still a no go, formula milk? Or just water if all else fails
