Hello!

Hi, i was wondering if anyone has advice on how to get a 10 month old to sleep through the night? He is eating properly (3-4 solids a day & 4 bottles of formula) & naps twice a day (if we dont let him nap for long it doesnt make any difference), he just wont sleep through. He wakes up at 2am for a bottle every night. I am due to go back to work soon & would love to have uninterrupted sleep. Any advice on how do you get a baby to sleep through the night? Thank you

  • Totally trial and error and 100% up to the individuals involved. Good luck with it all, sleep deprivation is shocking

  • I hope you were able to get a good night’s sleep.

  • Have you tried to resettle him without a feed? Maybe try picking him up and cuddle him to resettle him. Perhaps he is waking up because he is just stirring in his sleep but happily takes a feed when offered it? Worth a try.good luck

  • lots of stimulation during the day – get outdoors, new sights and sounds, and then they will sleep. my son was 6am to 6pm from four months. prior to that, he hardly ever slept. think it is stages x

  • It’s a hard habit to break, very tiring habit to break too.. Good luck with it all xx

  • You can’t force a baby to sleep but a dream feed at about 10;30 might help

  • I would cut one sleep out during the day good luck

  • geeee i wish i knew the answer 2 this

  • A friend of mine work at tricillian and said that some babies are simply not ready sleep through the night until sometimes 4 years of age. Each baby is so different and meets this milestone when they are ready

  • I hope you are on the right track and getting a sound nights sleep.

  • Hope you managed to get the advice you needed.

  • It is really difficult to function in the day time when you are having a constantly broken sleep at night. Hope you have had better luck now.

  • Some babies do and some don’t I hope you were one of the lucky ones and made to sleep through the night

  • Sleepless nights make the days. Very difficult. :(

  • It is good if you can get him to self settle. My kids have gone through stages where they’ll self settle and sleep good, and others where they don’t. I hope its going well.
