  • Choose goals that interest you.
Find things that interest you within goals.
Make your goal public or share it with partner / friend
    Plot your progress.
Break up your goal in small steps.
    Use rewards / celebrate success.
    Don’t do it alone.

  • Make as much of the little things a habit as you can, start little and just keep on doing it until you no longer have to try and then add more. Then it’s more of a lifestyle than motivation

  • I guess I just persevere. I don’t have any real motivation strategies.

  • For motivation of any kind routine is key same time every day being consistant is also good

  • As others have said you need to write down your goal/s and why that goal is important. And you need to revisit on a regular basis if the goal is still achievable and as important as when you first started. Sometimes life circumstances interrupt and I have found that at goal setting stage you need to give yourself permission to stop or alter your direction if needed. Having flexibility structured into the goal setting is important to keeping motivation especially when life throws obstacles in the way.

  • Write down your goals. Tell people what you want to achieve and why. Be clear yourself why you want to achieve something. Have a vision board/motivation board. Involve the whole family so they can help with motivation as well. An reward yourself often with little things. And don’t beat yourself up if you lose motivation for a day or two – just get back into it.

  • Mum81879 – little steps at a time may help? :)

  • A very good question and one I wish I had an answer for as I’m not the best at motivation myself. But I guess you just need to keep plugging along

  • Mum169700 you have some good and achievable answers.

  • Write them down & be specific as you can with a reason Why you are doing it (eg if I achieve X, I will be able to do Y from then on), Cut them into smaller chunks so you achieve them quicker, Hang them up so you will see them every day in several places, Measure your progress regularly. Reward yourself for achieving each mini goal.
