Hello!

If you have a sister or close friend who is also a new Mum, how do you tactfully point out a better way to develop sleep habits?

  • Every parent is different and every baby is different. I wouldn’t ever tell another mum how they should be doing things. A close friend of mine just became a new mum and her baby doesn’t have a sleep schedule. She reached out to me to ask what I did for my baby at the same age and I made sure to remind her that our babies will be different so that she may need to just follow her babies cues and work from there.

  • Gently. See if you can help out. Have a coffee and gently bring it up. New mums are sometimes too timid to ask. See how you go over a cuppa and a chat.

  • It’s probably best to just ask if they need help with anything.
